THE RICH RIGHT PLAN
Money is the most powerful tool ever invented, because you can trade it for almost anything, store it for the future, and use it to measure how well you’re doing. As Christians, we are called to use our wealth to love others as God loved us. When we do this, God is glorified and we make disciples. Friends forever.
But nearly half of all Americans can’t handle a $400 unexpected bill or miss even one paycheck without selling something or borrowing money. How, then, can we use our money help others if we can’t even help ourselves? And what happens when we do gain wealth? Will we lord it over others, or humbly serve as Jesus did?
John Thornton is a CPA with a PhD in accounting who has helped thousands of Christians free themselves from the power of money through his book, “Jesus’ Terrible Financial Advice: Flipping the Tables on Peace, Prosperity and the Pursuit of Happiness” (click here to learn more). He now unveils a simple plan based on Jesus’ Parable of the Shrewd Manager to help you make the most of all that God has given you.
The Rich Right Plan shows you how to:
1) be trustworthy with wealth,
2) grow little to much,
3) make an impact from here to eternity, and
4) navigate both stewardship and ownership roles with money.
Learn to handle wealth right—with character and competence. Then discard the world’s broken definition of rich—more than your neighbor—and replace it with God’s definition of rich—more than enough. More than enough to care for yourself and your family. More than enough to share.
The world’s financial plans always promise you peace at the end of your journey, once you have accumulated enough wealth. But money can never buy you peace. True peace comes with knowing God through Jesus Christ. So we seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness. When we use whatever God has given us to humbly serve others for his glory, we get rich right.
We measure success one friend at a time.
